Specimen Requirements
Container/Tube:
Preferred: Lithium heparin (light green-top)
Acceptable: Serum Gel
Draw blood, spin down within 2 hours of draw and send 1 mL
(pediatric: 0.2 mL) of plasma or serum.
Note: Include patient’s age on request
form.

60-70 years: <5.4 ng/mL
>70 years: <6.2 ng/mL
FREE PSA (FPSA)
